The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England, 3 day Greek Fest 2011, September 9, 10 and 11

The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England is having its threeday Greek Fest 2011 on September 9, 10 and 11 at the church’s community center grounds located at 162 Goddard Ave. in Brookline, Mass.
Festival hours are Friday 3-10 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
There will be live Greek music for dancing. The Kymata Orchestra will provide music on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Visitors will also enjoy Greek and American tunes of a DJ and traditional folk dancing shows.
Food and pastries will be served outdoors, and there will be plenty of tables and seating under a tent on beautiful grounds located near Larz Anderson Park. Guests can enjoy an assortment of Greek specialties, including roast lamb, beef and chicken souvlaki, gyros, moussaka and spanakopita (spinach pie). Pastries include baklava, loucoumades (fried dough), honey dipped diples and much more!
Games, face painting, rides and other children’s activities will be featured, along with cotton candy andhot dogs. There will also be a flea market, cultural and religious displays and tours, raffle prizes and boutiques with artwork and jewelry for sale.
