As a grand part of the Peabody Centennial celebration, St. Vasilios is inviting all of its parishioners to join us, and is particularly excited about having all of our organizations represented at the parade. Whether you decided to march or watch, we hope to see you at the parade next Sunday!
Parade Watchers
The entire St. Vasilios community is invited to watch and enjoy this grand parade. Due to road closures and parking restrictions, it is recommended that members of the community that want to watch the parade, park at St. Vasilios and walk to Peabody Square to view the parade that will kick off promptly at 11 am. We ask that you please do not board the buses, as they will be going to directly to the staging area.
Parade After-Party
Following the parade, the City of Peabody is inviting everyone to a parade after party that will take place from 12 to 4 pm at Emerson Park. The After Party will consist of food trucks from around the New England area, including Chicken on the Road, The Bacon Truck, Captain Marden’s Cod Squad, Trolley Dogs, Cupcake City Truck, Classic Hotdog Co., and Dean’s Concessions. The event will also feature a Beer Garden as Ipswich Ale Brewery will be on hand and on tap with their beer truck. Attendees will have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy a variety of food and beverage options as DJ Rick DeSanctis provides music and activities for all ages.
The groups marching with St. Vasilios are in Division 7. All participants must be at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St, Peabody, MA, no later than 9 a.m. on Sunday, October 2. Buses to the parade staging area will depart promptly at 9:30 a.m.
Buses will be leaving on time and will deliver units directly to the Granite Street staging area. PLEASE NOTE: NO PRIVATE VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED ON WASHINGTON STREET, and all participants must ride to the staging area via bus.
Following the parade, the St. Vasilios buses will be staged at the North Shore Mall in the Barnes and Noble parking lot. The buses will then be boarded to return to St. Vasilios following the parade at approximately 1:30 pm.
